The Crisis Rages On
Is changing the world for the better on your ‘to do’ list? If not, it absolutely should be. As fighting continues in the Iraqi cities of Mosul, Ramadi and Fallujah, thousands of families continue to flee for their lives. Ten million people – half of them children – are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance and 3.4 million have been forced to leave their homes. Conflict is devasting lives. Fighting in the Mosul area alone has already displaced around 150,000 people since March. Families face a terrible choice. Thousands of people have been injured and many families in Mosul are risking their health each day by drinking untreated water. Whether they stay in their war-torn communities or flee for safety, they must risk their lives and the lives of their children. We must do all we can to protect them.
