Job Description

The Fundraising Coordinator has numerous responsibilities related to organizational fundraising. They are the point person for planning and executing events, keeping track of money, and coordinating volunteers. The coordinator manages special events and promotes UMR in their regions. They generate email lists to contact vendors and volunteers for charitable events, and they make sure UMR has a strong presence at large conventions.

UMR’s Fundraising Coordinators must have strong leadership skills to manage volunteers and to successfully run events. Organization skills are also a big must, as the Fundraising Coordinator often handles many unique tasks at once. Additionally, they must be proficient in Microsoft Word,  and Excel. A bachelor’s degree or more in a field related to the organization’s mission typically is preferred.

Fundraising Coordinator Tasks

  • Recruit volunteers for special events.
  • Coordinate identification and relationship building with key donors and organizations.
  • Organize campaign strategy and execution, setting communication and funding goals.
  • Develop marketing materials and plan events to generate funding.
  • Promote UMR in their area.
